  Launching my own Etsy shop has been a life changing opportunity for professional development and personal growth. During the start of the pandemic, what began as a 'quarantine hobbies' soon sparked a entrepreneurial side of me I had not yet known existed. In my decision to develop my creative brand, I learned skills in social media marketing, business finance, and company management. Throughout the first year of creating work, I developed a strong international social media following engaging with artists and creatives around the globe. Building a network this way taught me a lot about informed marketing decisions. Quickly I developed strategies to work smarter not harder, maximizing engagement and the "shareablity" of content. At my desk, I educated myself on the importance of invoices and taxes and became capable of creating organized systems. I managed my own sales and expense reports, and income tax recordings. In addition to my work I sold prints of my design through partnerships with top name ecommerce sites. Even while not actively promoting my site, this experience has taught me so much about the world of art and ecommerce. Sparking an interest in entrepreneurship and professional growth. Show less
