I conducted an experimental study of the potential turbulent drag reduction by compliant surfaces in air flows for my Master's thesis, as part of my Master's studies at the Delft University of Technology. Direct drag measurements and flow visualisation by particle image velocimetry (PIV) were conducted in a subsonic wind tunnel at the Delft University of Technology. I correlated the drag delta with the material properties of the compliant surface and flow structures induced by the fluid-structure interaction. I was able to take ownership of this project, achieving the company's expectations and the desired academic quality from the university. This research has opened up a pool of topics for future research into this field, presenting an opportunity to make civil aviation even more sustainable. My work has been continued by the company which is still ongoing today. This project was supported by the Airbus BizLab Accelerator. Show less

My responsibilities included the surface modelling and CFD simulations of an upcoming model using the Solidworks CAD/CAE suite. I designed and tested conceptual aerodynamic designs to improve the aerodynamic performance of the upcoming model, aiming to increase downforce and decrease the drag. I was able to test several aerodynamic concepts and produce a working CFD model to serve as an aerodynamic benchmark for future development. Conducted an Undergraduate Thesis at the Satelite and Rocket Propulsion Laboratory at NCKU, under the tutelage of Dr Yei-Chin, Chao. The topic of the thesis was the analysis of the thermodynamic performance of Ammonium Perchlorate(AP)-based solid rocket propellant. Testing with different fuels such as hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) and polyethylene (PE), a thermodynamic database concerning the relation between the chamber pressure and regression rate was constructed. This thesis was awarded Third Prize at the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics Undergraduate Thesis Competition among 20 submitted works. Show less

I led the interpretation team of six people, mainly interpreting Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and English. My responsibilities interpretation team in the linguistic differences of Mandarin Chinese and Japanese and the interpretation between these two languages. I also reviewed interpretation manuscripts for the team on multiple occasions, such as the opening and closing ceremonies. Our team facilitated the communication process between student and teacher delegations from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan and Kanazawa Institute of Technology, Japan, which led to this event's continuation in the following years.
