Salesperson

Jun 2017 - Jun 2018
Responsible for calling potential customers to persuade them to enrol their children in our school. After an initial introductory visit, I followed up with the parents to see what their expectations would be for their children and emphasised what the school offered to meet these expectations. I managed to get over 30 children enrolled in the short time I had this position, some for one year, others up to three years. The payments were up front, so this was money available immediately for the school to invest. Later on in this role, when I decided I was going to study for a Masters degree in the UK, I became a receptionist for more regular hours so that I could improve my English and prepare for my degree. In this role I still dealt with customers, answering their queries and obtaining information for the sales team. I also had to manage any complaints that parents had. Occasionally I assisted as a teaching assistant, when needed. Show less

Responsible for going out and finding customers to introduce them to company products. After the introduction I then sold insurance products to suit their needs. I frequently communicated with my customers to maintain a continuous relationship so that they would renew their custom as well as trying to offer them other products. I took an evening job in a bar in order to earn extra money, but more importantly to practice my English. I did not just serve drinks, I arranged events for customers such as barbecues, parties during some of the Chinese festivals and Western holidays. I managed stock levels, ordering new stock when needed, and I was trusted by the owner to open and close the bar.
