• I supported the research team in cleaning, updating and maintaining NOC alumni database for the past few months, including collected, verified and consolidated alumni’s employment data from multiple sources (e.g. LinkedIn, NOC survey). My role had facilitated the team’s analysis of the impact of NOC program in nurturing and promoting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial-related activity among the NOC alumni. • I assisted in researching innovation performance in Singapore, in terms of knowledge flows or spillovers between innovators in Singapore, with a focus on NUS. o In this project, patent citation data of Singapore-invented patents are used as a means to trace knowledge flows in the national innovation system. I have been categorizing citing and cited patents to identify whether knowledge sources are local or foreign, and whether they are from private firms, universities or government agencies. The data will be analysed to answer research questions, which relate to trends in knowledge sources of NUS inventions (local/foreign, and also sectoral). • I supported the team in administration and execution of NEC projects in the ASEAN start-up ecosystem, by conducting statistical analysis for data projects like TechASEAN (which focuses on start-up connectivity, growth and performance in ASEAN economy), cleaning and maintaining the start-up database, and performing network analysis to graphically show connections between start-ups, investors and entrepreneurship support organizations (which part of the analysis was included in the presentation at the TechASEAN launch).
