• Investigated the function of nano-alloy electro-catalysts while operating inside fuel cells (PEMFC), in terms of activity, stability and durability to develop better nano-catalysts for fuel cells. • Conducted multiple fuel cells in action experiments at APS-Argonne National Laboratory (in-operando / in-situ experiments) to obtain the catalyst (structure-property) relationship, phase transitions and materials dynamics upon cycling.• Used and applied advanced materials characterization techniques, synchrotron high-energy x-ray diffraction HE-XRD, atomic pair distribution function PDF, x-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy EDX.• Verified the materials deposition over various polymeric membranes, and traced the evolution of materials utilization while operating.• Carried out accelerated durability tests through cyclic voltammetry CV, to obtain the best electro-catalysts for energy conversion. • Analyzed various fuel cell’s electric output under operating conditions. Processed the raw electric signals (Filtering, calibrating, optimizing) to obtain the best fuel cell’s function (Ampere / Dollar).• Performed quantitative phase analysis of the nano-catalysts. Refined the metallic phase diagram of binary and ternary metallic systems based on the metallic nano-alloys behavior at different conditions.• Conducted deep structural analysis (materials defects, stress/strain, surface to bulk structure) to obtain a better understanding about the materials structure property correlation.• Characterized the materials using XRF spectroscopy (EDX and XPS) to obtain the elemental analysis and the electronic structure, which supports the analysis of the nanomaterial surface structure.• Used electron microscopy (HR-TEM and HAADF-TEM) to support the materials analysis.• Reported the materials failure analysis. analyzed and detected the systemic issues pragmatically, and send technical reports and scientific studies regarding the fatigue with potential solutions.
