  My role as Product Director at Avito.ma is to set Avito's product strategy, vision for the future and to build an agile high performing and diverse product organization with a strong product culture of fast learning and cheap failures through experimentation and data-driven decisions composed of Product Managers, UX designers, BI analysts & Data Scientists, SEO specialists and Content & Customer Support teams to achieve that long term vision and execute on that strategy. Managing today +30 people (9 direct reports).Avito.ma is the first classified platform/marketplace in Morocco.   Cofounded a P2P marketplace connecting travelers with people willing to buy something abroad or ship something abroad. Travelers makes extra money while traveling, buyers/shippers get access to cheaper shipping price or to unavailable/undeliverable items where they live. We solved during 4 years a pain for Moroccans that cannot buy online from Amazon/Aliexpress and for Moroccans willing to ship item abroad or Moroccans living in Europe/US willing to ship item to Morocco by offering an affordable solution. We helped thousands of Moroccans overpass barriers and created value for them. Raised 70kUSD in totals from MENA investors and from Mazars France through #mazarsforgood innovation challenge. We stopped operations in 2018 due to financial constraints that did not let us expand our operations to more relevant markets in the region. Show less
