During this six-month period, I had the opportunity to conduct a research project for Darling Ingredients on behalf of HAS University. I was able to write this thesis in a team of three food technology students. The research consisted of two parts: a product development part and a technical business part. The focus was on the application and development of different proteins in animal feed. In addition, the positioning and competitive analysis of this industry was central. During my weekend job at SuitSupply, I was active in the sale of men’s clothing. Customisation and measuring of custom-made suits were activities that comprised my work. Intensive customer contact and guidance towards the ultimate result were things that gave me energy within this student-job. During this research internship, I carried out a competition and market study related to the circular functional ingredients sector. Alongside this, I produced a product development report related to the substitution of methyl cellulose in plant-based meat substitutes. My ancillary activities: managing marketing updates, organising staff events and coordinating the office renovation in cooperation with HR.
