Director of School Advancement Program - KHDA
-
Apr 2018 - Present
As a Director of Dubai School Advancement Program, I overlook the planning, implementation and evaluation of the project. The main aim of the School Advancement Program (SAP) is to support and guide the private schools of Dubai which have a high percentage of Emirati students improve the quality of education they provide. The ultimate goal of this project is to help those identified schools move up in their DSIB inspection rating to at least “Good” by the end of academic year 2020 – 2021. My role also involves managing a team of School Advancement Officers (SAOs), School Advancement Experts (SAEs) and School Advancement Support staff (SASs) in their work supporting school improvement in identified private schools. I work closely with the senior staff of Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) to ensure there is a good level of co-ordination between inspection processes and pre- and post-inspection support action which is the responsibility of my team of SOAs and SAEs. To ensure accountability, I report to the KHDA Board at the program’s various milestones the progress made towards meeting the team’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). In addition, I report on the effectiveness and progress of all identified private schools with particular emphasis on those areas of schools where the inspection process has identified serious weaknesses.
