In this role I led on Creative Access’s involvement with the government's Kickstart Scheme, which provided funding to employers to create jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit. I made applications for new Kickstart roles to the Department for Work & Pensions on behalf of employers, and provided a programme of support for all young people placed into roles through us. We supported employers to place over 300 young people into roles across the creative economy, working with organisations including Twitter, PinkNews, Good Chance Theatre, Curtis Brown and The Climate Group.
