The Submarine is a design-inspired coworking and event space for independent professionals and small teams looking to be part of a collaborative community. www.thesubmarine.me-----The Background StoryIn 2016 The Farm Design launched the Submarine Coworking Space*, our purpose was to become part of a collaborative and supportive community. We were seeking out people to share a space with, people who could introduce new perspectives for our team. We have made it our mission to improve how a typical work environment and design industry can work creatively and act as a business while building a happier work community all around. This may, in turn, start a movement that expands beyond the classic Office environment creating social cohesion within a single space, where a diverse group of people each with its individual and varied strengths, can become quickly more than the sum of its parts. What has sprung from this lively gathering is a Subculture spirit that understands the power of true collaboration, of shared resources, support, and knowledge - a place to bounce ideas and emulate growth to back each other’s success up. Natural working relationships and support systems eventually appeared between the different group members, these rarely exist within our industry. This openness brings together creative talent with different skill sets allowing people to capitalize on the broader potential that exists at the intersection of good minds working supportively together. Like in any good relationship, we learned that a community takes time and effort to nurture and maintain. Perhaps the most constructive aspect in sustaining its growth, has taught the Submarine team to give and share proving that ultimately, the “getting” will eventually follow through naturally. Ultimately, the Farm and its new growing community, the Submarine, came out as an altogether richer and stronger platform for all our clients to rely on.
