Summer Internship
-
Sep 2017 - Sep 2017
I worked in the Hematology department of the Military hospital of Tunis where I learned how to analyze and conclude about NFS assessments for patients with hematological disorders, how to determine blood groups with manual techniques, and how to assess group compatibilities. Also, during one week of this internship, my mission was to update, on a daily basis, the hospital's blood bank database. During this month of internship in the laboratory of epidemiology and veterinary microbiology, I learned the experimental principles and protocols of avian virus amplification methods. Virus amplification in embryonated eggs, RNA extraction, RT-PCR, Electrophoresis on Agarose Gel, Western Blot, direct and indirect ELISA, building primary and secondary cell cultures were at the program.
