- Responsible for the Housing Month End including accruing and deferring revenue and costs in line with IFRS 15 accounting standards. - Providing a variance analysis at Month End for both revenue and billing and providing relevant commentary which is circulated to the wider business. - Attending monthly meetings with the Sales Director of the business unit, to discuss the Month End results and gain business insight to facilitate accurate forecasting. - Developed and took ownership of a revenue recognition model for the transition from IAS11 to IFRS15. This incorporated not only the revenue deferrals but also cost deferrals at a standard cost rate, and the model was adopted by management accountants in other business units.- Heavily involved in the IFRS 15 restatement of the FY19 opening balance for my business unit, which involved looking at individual deals, tracing back performance obligations to the original contracts and determining the accounting treatment based on revenue types.- Worked with the systems accountant to learn more about the technical aspects of the TM1 reporting system.
