Refrigeration & Catering Parts and Quotes Administrator
-
Jul 2017 - Present
In my current role, it is my job to identify the correct spare parts required for a unit and source them from our suppliers, taking into account which suppliers can offer the best pricing and shortest lead times. Once the correct parts have been identified and prices confirmed, I then have to raise a purchase order using the in-house system and send it off to the suppliers. If a customers has a spend limit on their account and the cost of parts exceeds this, I then have to raise a quote for them to approve before proceeding with ordering the parts and sending them to the engineer. Over the years that I have worked here I have managed to build up a good rapport with our suppliers, which has been helpful when trying to resolve issues with outstanding orders and enquiries.

Supply Chain - Customer Service
-
Feb 2013 - Jul 2017
In this role, I worked in a busy and challenging environment as part of a supply chain team in the automotive industry. I was responsible for working with customers over the phone, email and by fax, from the point of order through to dispatch, including resolving queries and making order amendments. I also followed up on consignments with the carriers; Pallet Force and Fed-Ex and worked with them to help resolve any delivery issues. It was also required of me to follow up on late purchase orders with the factories and help identify any potential supply chain issues on certain products. I also helped to monitor the performance of my team through running daily KPI reports and put corrective actions in place when issues arise. Other tasks that I carried out through the day included: Processing claims through Salesforce Processing direct deliveries Exceptional order arbitration Analysing customer’s open order books to provide delivery dates Processing order change requests from our central procurement team Reporting on Teccom enquiries Sending orders down to the warehouse, applying carriage charges where needed Following up and chasing late purchase orders with the central procurement team From time to time I would also help in the warehouse during busy periods doing picking and packing. I was also required to take part in the annual warehouse stock take to ensure that the stock in the warehouse was as accurate as possible.
