  Bradford AP Academy offers places for the Local Education Authority to house permanently excluded young people. My role is split into two areas: managing the operational implementation of the project and the strategic overview of developing existing processes in the city. The project is funded by the DfE (Department for Education) Alternative Provision Innovation Fund, with a scope of working to identify best ways of working with pupils in alternative provision and securing the highest outcomes for all. Prior to my appointment, there were clear gaps in information sharing across stakeholders and ineffective support for pupils and families to increase engagement with schools. I have established new processes, systems and software in the city, working to develop effective mapping of pupils’ journeys. Show less
