I worked in the English department of school. I taught classes 8, 9, and 10. I was the coordinator for class 8 and was responsible for devising lesson plans, worksheets, question-papers etc. During my short stint I tried to change the ways students learnt and interpretted literary texts. My focus was always on giving more autonomy to the learners so that they may reach their own conclusions and interpretations rather than rigidly abiding by the ones they have been conventionally learnt through textbooks. Discover, discuss, debate was my motto while at school. And it was reassuring to realise that students responded very positively to this mode of learning. Show less
