Yashna is blessed with an innate ability to view every problem from different lenses. This ability has helped her develop a rigorous approach to address a problem. I have seen her transform from a curious design student into a methodical educational professional still keeping her tenacity to learn. Yashna has great perseverance and high energy at work. She is a valuable resource for any organization who strives to try new ways of working. Her breadth of knowledge in various areas of design and technology is incredible and it has been a steep learning curve working with her on Avantika University project. She is also a very affable and kind person who brings in loads of energy to workplace. Another little know fact about Yashna is her skills behind the camera lens. I wish Yashna all the very best for her future endeavors.

We are a social enterprise building a product that is focused on helping social impact organisations and programs scale their work. We think that whether organisations are scaling up (going into more regions themselves) or scaling out (working with new partners to take their approach elsewhere), creating a dynamic repository of tools, and approaches informed by experiences by field teams is critical. As a team, we work at the intersection of designing and building technology, human-centred design and focus on operational and program needs.

      • May 2016 - Dec 2016

As an academic associate, Yashna was an active member of the team for creating an innovative and contextual academic structure for the university. A curriculum that is driven by design thinking. This was not just for design but spreads out to all the fields where creation, innovation and problem solving is a must. Being once a student of engineering and design both, Yashna had a deep understanding of the context she was working in. And with a lot of trials, validation and feedback the team created a curriculum that offers specialization that is not institute driven but industry, need and choice dependent. It breaks the boundaries of the stereotypical education system in design and engineering. They created a model that inculcates personalized learning to make students discover themselves by becoming innovators and problem solvers and more importantly to become sound decision makers.
