I hereby declare that the work, being presented in the project report entitled as“FINGERPRINT DOOR LOCK USING ARDUINO” in partial fulfillment of therequirement for the award of the Degree in Bachelor of Technology in Roboticsand Artificial Intelligence and submitted to the Department of MechanicalEngineering of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabadis an authentic record of my own work carried out during a period from fab 2023 tomay2023 under the supervision of Dr. Anju Gupta(Professor) Department ofMechanical Engineering. No part of the matter embodied in the project has beensubmitted to any other University / Institute for the award of any Degree orDiploma. We take this opportunity to express our deep sense of gratitude and respecttowards our supervisor Dr. Anju Gupta, Professor, Department of ElectricalEngineering, J.C. Bose University of Science & Technology, YMCA, Faridabad. We are very much indebted to her for the generosity, expertise and guidance.Without her support and timely guidance, the completion of this report wouldhave seemed a farfetched dream. In this respect we find ourselves lucky to haveher as our supervisor. She has supervised us not only with the subject matter, but also taught us the proper style and technique of working and presentation. Itis a great pleasure for us to express our gratitude towards those who areinvolved in the completion of my project report. We would also like to thank Department of Mechanical Engineering, J.C. BoseUniversity of Science & Technology, YMCA, Faridabad for providing us variousfacilities. We are also grateful to all the faculty members & evaluationcommittee members for their constant guidance during this project work.We express our sincere thanks to all our friends, our well-wishers andclassmates for their support and help during the project. Obstacles Avoiding Robot using NodeMCUA NodeMCU-based obstacle-avoiding robot is a small autonomous vehicle equipped with sensors and a NodeMCU microcontroller board that enables it to navigate and avoid obstacles in its environment. The robot's primary objective is to move around without colliding with any obstacles it encounters. The NodeMCU board acts as the brain of the robot, controlling its movements and processing sensor data. It is typically programmed using the Arduino IDE or the Lua programming language, which allows developers to write code and control the robot's behavior. The obstacle-avoidance mechanism involves the use of sensors such as ultrasonic sensors or infrared sensors. These sensors are placed on the robot's body, facing different directions to detect obstacles in its path. The sensors emit signals and measure the time it takes for the signals to bounce back after hitting an obstacle. Based on the received signals, the robot can estimate the distance between itself and the obstacle.Using the sensor data, the NodeMCU board calculates the direction and distance of the nearest obstacle. If an obstacle is detected within a predefined range, the robot activates its avoidance routine. This routine typically involves stopping the robot, changing its direction, and resuming its movement in a different path to avoid the obstacle. The robot continuously scans its surroundings, adjusting its course as needed to avoid collisions.Overall, the NodeMCU-based obstacle-avoiding robot combines hardware components, such as sensors, with the processing capabilities of the NodeMCU microcontroller board to create an autonomous system capable of navigating its environment while avoiding obstacles. It is a practical and widely used application of robotics that can be expanded upon and customized based on specific project requirements. Show less
