When we worked together at Asia Leisure his was very generous in sharing his immense knowledge of sales in the tourism industry. He took Asia Leisure international and made it a force to recon with.He represented the company at many prestigious events like WTM in Berlin on many occasions. He is an asset to any company and I would consider any company be lucky to have him.

Yasas could be described as someone who understood the changing dynamics and challenges of the leisure industry. His evaluation of the volatile tourism industry in the country and region has been brilliant. His pragmatic approach has been impressive and consistent. He is someone very loyal to his organisation, loyal as well as honest in dealing with the complex mechanism of pricing and inventory management. This provides a win-win basis to both parties - where, we as a "Destination Management" see great potential in featuring his brands and Yasas achieves maximises the revenue aspects and managing the inventory effectively. I am pretty much aware that this is quite a tough task, but he does this effectively year-on-year. Some of the over-powering elements in his skills include his ability to build trust between himself and the customers. This is quite an intricate aspect and my personal experience has been this. This enables me to reach out to him and get his support in order to extend the same to my own customers. Yasas is fast to respond, has a tendency to immediately attend to matters which could be a minor complaint and reaches out to his management to look into root-cause effects with acceptable solutions. He is customer-centric manages relationships at all levels, a skill which I truly admire in Yasas. He carries himself well, professional and is honest above everything and works tirelessly to achieve his own objectives and challenges which is fantastic. His academic achievements and pragmatic approach to opportunities-solutions is a skill area which is quite rare amongst senior managers representing hotel brands in Sri Lanka. I truly believe, Yasas has been an influential component of the success and growth of the Asia Leisure brand. I wish him great success and see potential for further growth for Yasas in the next phase of the development of the leisure industry in Sri Lanka.
