  I wrote a web service that took care of secure insertion of encrypted data from different clients into the database. The clients communicated with the server sending HTTP post messages. I wrote the server in PHP, which extracted and decrypted the messages, before inserting the decrypted data into a MySQL database.   A former colleague of mine is currently completing his Doctorate in Toxinology at the University of Queensland. This work requires a long and tedious process of inputting venom data from one program, into another program, in order to allow the required analysis. Realizing this process would take weeks, I volunteered to create a program to automate the data transfer and sorting process. This program now reduces the time required from several weeks, to 20-30 minutes. A former colleague of mine is currently completing his Doctorate in Toxinology at the University of Queensland.
