Nicholas Kottenstette PhD
Yao Li is one of the top student researchers I had the pleasure of mentoring through the Corindus’ internship program during the fall and summer of 2014. Yao flourished at Corindus in which she learned to program in numerous languages including: Matlab, Simulink, Python, C# and Java while assisting us on a variety of R&D tasks. She was a key contributor to our GUI and database application SW development efforts for our next generation PCI robotic systems. She contributed to our R&D efforts by evaluating numerous real-time image compression/decompression technologies which were deployed securely using the industrial standard ssh protocol. She documented these efforts with a technical report, presentation and tracked her software development using standard version control software. Jade is an exceptional innovator and electrical engineer. She brought an energetic and an enthusiastic attitude to Corindus in order to complete the challenging design problems assigned to her. She independently sought out the necessary documentation and specifications in order to complete her design tasks in an efficient manner. She has developed applications which will be used in next generation products. She has not only assisted us with advanced SW development but also with embedded electronic systems development. Due to her integrity, exceptional academic credentials and demonstrated success during her internship at Corindus we have asked her to consider us as a future full-time employer.
