    • Junior Quant Researcher and Analyst
      • Jan 2019 - Jan 2020

Cycled through data analytics, quantitative research, and investment analysis. For data analytics, I did data acquisition automation, cleansing, munging, and analytics upon large many sourced datasets. For quantitative research, I applied machine learning and network theory into analytics and forecasting. Two major research outputs - one whitepaper on systemic market risk, one current review of sector analytics. Also supported stress testing and financial and mathematical reports written by the team. Worked in Python in an Agile environment - pandas, selenium, numpy, scipy, scikitlearn, and internal library, which I helped develop. For investment analysis, I conducted and wrote risk and portfolio analyses for real structured investments. Two major deals. Supported by team case studies and advanced Excel courses. As added team support, I wrote and designed investment and analytics newsletters and factsheets using MailChimp and Pictochart. https://www.fasanara.com/scenario-29042019 Show less

    • Engineering Mathematics MSc Student
      • Sep 2017 - Feb 2019

I graduated this course with Distinction, awarded Best Student. An MSc focusing on the intersection of practical sciences, engineering, and mathematics. Topics taught include AI Theory, Uncertainty Theory, Internet Economics and Financial Technology, Bio-Inspired AI, Stochastic and Delay Calculus, Dynamic Network Theory. My thesis looked at the self-sorting behaviours of the Adaptive Voter model, at the frontier of both PDE Theory and Complex Network theory. The literature review was described as the clearest account of moment expansions and generating function techniques for networks the reviewer had ever seen. Also completed a group project for Royal Mail, optimising the NDC. We were free to achieve this in any manner, and after extensive supply chain and cross docking research, I developed a new model of docking behaviour, and we optimised the dock door structure. • Mathematics Tutor
      • Jan 2012 - Mar 2015

Self Employed as Maths Tutor Long time work before using advertising. Taught on an ad hoc basis. Have given lessons in Physics, Mathematics, English, with a later total focus on maths. Done so at A-level, GCSE, KS2, and Primary. Using websites such as Tutorhunt and FirstTutors, I advertised myself to prospective clients, contacted them, and organised prices, location to tutor in, and subject material. This taught me client relation as well as sales skills - I spoke with parents and students, selected my prices based on local ones, and sold myself as delivering better tutoring than others.
