Yang represented one half of a female duo who won a global design competition which we initiated at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in partnership with #ArtsThread, an online launchpad for art and design students and graduates worldwide. Yang and her partner’s design nailed every point of the four point brief, and we are delighted to see their interpretation of the design brief be brought to life in its physical form on our Legacy Terrace Garden. The thoughtfulness in the design really came through during the initial shortlisting, and captured what we wanted to achieve at LSE through the art work. It has been a pleasure to work with Yang on this project, and particularly post installation, when we wanted to feature her in a video we produced about how the artwork came together. She was willing to share with us what we needed in a very quick time frame.
