Primarily worked east of the Nogales port of entry ensuring safety and security of work crews and equipment.       Site Security Manager for FOB in Eastern Afghanistan, at FOB Fenty, AO Mountain Warrior. I, together with my deputy site manager, led a guard force of 200+ local nationals who, together with our client the US military, provided static security positions in and around Jalalabad Airfield. On a daily basis I consulted with the command center Battle Captain to learn of issues that I needed to address and be ready for. Our guards operated 12 towers, a main entry control point, escorts of local national laborers, and a Quick Reaction Force. I was responsible for the monthly cash payroll and expenses as well as a large number of weapons, body armor, vehicles and food preparation for the guard force. I sent weekly reports that included finance, status, inventory, and training reports to our headquarters in Kabul. As was necessary on numerous occasions due to increasing insurgent activity, I submitted Serious Incident Reports after indirect fire attacks and other attacks on FOB Fenty by insurgents. On several occasions, I went into the city of Jalalabad to source goods and necessary items for my FOB as well as a sister FOB in AO Mountain Warrior. Weekly I provided training to the guard force as well as supervised range time during firearms training. Specific and more specialized training was provided to the Afghan Quick Reaction Force considering the local area needs and security threats.I had a SECRET security clearance for this job.

Our area of operations included 14 observation towers, 2 rapid response teams, 3 vehicle entry check points and 300+ third country national guard force from Uganda. Other security supervisors were American, as well as South African and British personnel. Our close coordination with the US military insured safety and security of the camp and VBC for 4,000+ inhabitants of Camp Slayer. Camp Slayer had several key installations that were vitally important to the overall mission and were tasked with insuring that these Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities and its personnel remained secure and safe.I later the Deputy camp manager position and worked day shifts, management remained the same, however included the management of US, British, South African security supervisors. For 30 days while the camp manager when on leave, I was the acting camp manager. I then transferred to a Forward Operating Base in Afghanistan.For this job I held a SECRET security clearance.

      I started my military as a 13B cannon crewman. After basic and Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma I attended US Army Airborne School at Ft. Benning, Georgia. After I was promoted to Sergeant, my section was selected to travel to Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland to determine the feasibility of the British Light Gun L118.
