• Prepare detailed traffic modelling design and monitor traffic operations using Synchro • Draft and edit transportation technical reports and memos • Obtain traffic data, gather information from various sources to provide traffic-related public inquiries in a friendly and professional manner following guidelines and procedures • Participate on various projects to identify traffic patterns, traffic safety issues and suggest roadway design recommendations • Conduct various traffic studies and traffic investigations • Analyze traffic data and collision data using TES and provide collision reviews and reports • Conduct Transportation technical warrant reviews for traffic control devices and roundabouts • Conduct Community Safety Zone reviews along Regional Road 25 to consider possible and feasible traffic calming measures • Co-ordinate and operate relocation of Portable Variable Message Sign (PVMS) • Review OTM Book 18 and prepare technical reports about cyclists’ facilities at regional road roundabouts to ensure safer Active Transportation roadway network • Work in accordance with the provisions of applicable Health and Safety legislation and the Region’s departmental policies and procedures • Other duties as assigned Show less
