Bio
Yu (Cathy) Jiao
Yahya worked with me during the summer of 2010 on a large-scale scientific data anlysis project. He impressed me with his knowledge, drive, and creativity. We encountered many challenges during that project. He never gave up or complained, and he always tried to get to the bottom of the issue rather than going around it. In the short eight weeks, he completed a large project that would normally take 3-4 months. I was so impressed with him that I invited him back this summer to work with me again. Yahya has a genuin curiosity toward science that will make him very successful in his research career. He is also kind and altruristic. I have no doubt that he will be a valuable asset to any organization.

I was a visiting graduate student in the Biochemichestry Research Group Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Max Diem. The major task of this visit was to apply the developed unsupervised unmixing algorithm which was intended to Hyperspectral Images, to Biomedical images acquired by Dr. Max Diem's Research Group.
