  I am currently granted a Santander Scholarship for my Internship at the IVAM (Institut Valencià d'Art Modern). This internship helps me to carry out my master's research on the alternative methods of consolidation of the raised impasto paint layer of Antonio Saura's oil paintings, Spanish surrealist painter who emerged in the 50's. During this research I will study about 30 of his black and white thick impasto paintings made during the 1950s and 60s from the collection of IVAM, the Cultural Center of the Fundació La Caixa and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS).   https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=4073015542811400 I worked as a trainee student, I was able to collaborate in the study and conservation project of the Series La Vida de la Virgen by the painter Miguel Cabrera from New Spanish Baroque, within the framework of the Conserving Canvas initiative (Getty Foundation of Los Angeles) under the direction of my personal tutor Rocío Bruquetas Galán, curator-restorer at the Ministry of Culture (Spain); Carmen Ahedo Pino, curator-restorer of the Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España (IPCE, Spain), and Andres Sanchez Ledesma, Technical Director at Arte-Lab SLand. I have carried out various tasks: - Conservation and restoration interventions: removal of varnish coatings and repaints, placement of perimeter reinforcement bands, grafts, welding and wire bridges in Miguel Cabrera's paintings - Preparation of technical reports on the state of conservation of different art works - Reorganization of collections and elaboration of conservation boxes for the storage of art works - Review and maintenance of parts in the permanent and temporary exhibition - Assistance in the assembly of the temporary exhibition "Más que un lance: La cultura del toro en América" Show less
