- Key designer of the power converters for GE Energy business such as: Wind, Solar and Oil&Gas; - Focusing on cutting-edge control algorithms, control software development, system simulation and analysis etc. Influencing with technical expertise. - Global teams across multi-functions. Experienced the cooperations within reasonable conflicts. - Bridge assignment (internal transfer) to US for more than 4 months in 2008. Quickly developed GE's first farm-scale solar photovoltaic power converter for GE Energy • Retrofitted from GE's wind power converter to synergize GE's competitive advantages in Wind and leverage sourcing, manufacturing, reliability learning and utility grid interconnection functionalities; • Led key technical efforts across global team (both GRC and GE Energy) with technical ownership; • Designed the control algorithms and implemented the software; Built the product-code-based simulation platform; Redesigned the grid harmonic filter; Designed high-power lab test and field test; and provided interface for farm management system, and web server for remote control. • Demonstrated quick-learn and synergy ability by leveraging many resources to speed up the project; Pumpback test development of the high-speed electric drive for oil&gas compressor • It is challengeable to test a 10MW electric drive at full power before connecting to real motor. • Proposed a low risk pumpback method where the large power flows inside the power converter. • Developed the control methods, analysis and design of experiments, verified in hardware-in-loop simulations and scaled-down prototype in China lab. Now is going to run full power tests in US. Next generation of GE 2.5MW Wind power converter (on-going) • To simplify the electrical system and reduce the cost of electrical components by optimized design; • Ownership on the control methods and software development on a new platform(Mark VIe, QNX);
