List of speakers I hosted: Professor Claudia Goldin, Professor Alan Blinder, Professor Edward Glaeser, Lesetja Kganyago (South African Reserve Bank), Professor Andrés Velasco, Dr Flavio Toxvaerd, Professor Ben Moll, Professor Hyun Song Shin, Dr Rachel Ngai and Professor Thomas Sampson.I led a team of 5 to invite renowned economists for interviews and produced 10 high-quality and accessible episodes with over 1000 active listeners. As a part of this role, I conducted in-depth research of speakers' academic profiles and designed interview questions that added value to our listeners. To ensure the success of this project, I collaborated with the LSE Communications Division and the Department of Economics. Through this collaboration, my team learned how to draft professional emails and the importance of respecting each speaker's specific need. We spent hours conducting in-depth research on their academic profiles, enabling us to produce high-quality and informative episodes. This job experience provided me with valuable insights into working across departments with the LSE Communications and Economics Media Relation Team. The skills I gained from leading a team and conducting in-depth research have equipped me with effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. I am confident that these skills will enable me to contribute positively to any team-oriented work environment in the future. Show less

I assisted Professor Ricardo Reis with his presentation “Losing the Inflation Anchor” at the Brookings Institution. I drafted a report on the degree to which inflation expectation was well-anchored by reviewing IMF Staff Report, OCED Surveys, and central bank speeches. In light of this, I summarised adjustments in the South African Reserve Bank's transparency and communication policies, which are essential for central banks to improve their credibility. Twice a week, Professor Reis and I met to discuss my prediction on possible interplays between central bank credibility, economic performance and inflation anchoring. Show less

I co-authored an article with a team of three on inflation expectations and negative interest rate policy. My tasks included reviewing the literature on the Bank of Japan's monetary policies to critique the extent to which Japan's growth trajectory could be applied to the UK economy. I also interviewed scholars of Financial Economics to consult prospects of adopting a negative interest rate by the Bank of England. During my time as Head of the Amartya Sen Club and Speaker Events at the LSE Economics Society, I led a team of 7 to organise and manage a range of activities, including speaker events, economics seminars, and social events. As the head of the largest weekly academic meeting at LSE, with over 200 members, I was responsible for planning and delivering meetings in collaboration with the Department of Economics, with approximately 100 registrants at each zoom session. In this role, I invited and hosted weekly meetings with renowned economists, including Greg Mankiw, Joshua Angrist and five other Nobel Prize winners. I was responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of each session, from arranging speakers' travel to delivering immersive learning experience for all participants.I developed essential skills in leadership, event planning, and coordination. I honed my communication skills while collaborating with the Department of Economics and the LSE Economics Society team to deliver high-quality events. This experience has equipped me with the ability to manage complex projects and lead teams to success, skills that I will bring with me to future roles. Show less
