The greatest data and technology challenges of today can't be solved with carbon copy consultants or homogeneous thought. At Kubrick, we actively seek out and develop smart, passionate individuals from a breadth of backgrounds to bring business a fresh approach to realise the potential of data and next-generation technology and build sustainable solutions for a rapidly changing world. As a Data Product Consultant, I act as the connection between the business and the data teams. I am a data translator with an excellent blend of business analysis and data skills. These empower me to gather and interpret business requirements to and from data teams, working with them to deliver valuable data products that meet the requirements of the business. As part of my development at Kubrick, I gained a deep understanding on data technologies including Python, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau and Data Science as well as using software such as JIRA and Lucidchart to understand and develop my key business analysis skills. I simultaneously developed key soft skills such as effective communication, stakeholder management & engagement, project management, risk management, business process optimisation and end-to-end lifecycle of requirement engineering (requirements gathering, analysis, validation, documentation, management, and User Acceptance Testing). My scrum style training structure provided a practical platform to enable me to successfully deliver several data projects. These were structured in the traditional Waterfall, Agile or a hybrid of both methodologies, and enabled me to interpret stakeholder needs, translate requirements into a simple and logical order and deliver data products that meet business needs.
