I worked with Jerry (Xiaotian) for 9 years, both as a peer and as his direct supervisor. Jerry is very conscientious and hard working. I could always rely on him to deliver the tasks assigned to him on time and with good quality. Jerry was my interface to a team of 10 developers stationed in Beijing and was crucial to good communication with that team. Later, Jerry showed good adaptability helping with both client and server components on the Foxtel broadcast platform and playing a crucial role in the integration of the new iQ3 STB with the NAGRA service delivery platform.

He did good design and made other people's job easy. He developed Foxtel and Austar applications like Weather, SkyNews and EPG. He is a very quick learner. Later we moved to a middleware based on Linux kernel. He started to learn and use Javascript, we did very well in a demo project. We also customize Foxtel's head end software which need python, Javascript, Java. It seems Jerry can pick a programming language and tool very quickly and use it. For the up level application, Jerry also used ASP.NET to develop with microsoft visual studio. It's very happy to work with Jerry and he always looks after other team members and he is very happy to help resolve problems encountered by other people. We all miss the days spent together with Jerry.
