Xiangmeng Ge has worked for me for several years, first in my business as a professional organizer and later when the business was downsized into an inventory service. She was an intern with Athens Home Organizer in 2013 while she was in the marketing program at the University of Georgia. Her performance was exceptional and I employed her part time after the internship was completed. As an employee, Xiangmeng analyzed client data, and provided marketing advice. She surveyed other professional organizers’ websites and critiqued the AHO website. Following her advice, I reworded much of my business website. Xiangmeng participated in regular marketing meetings with my associate and myself. She is a good listener and careful thinker. At every meeting she was well prepared and had suggestions. Athens Home Organizer income in 2013 was twice what it was in 2012. Much of that increase had to be from implementing Xiangmeng’s marketing recommendations. In addition to providing marketing analysis and advice, Xiangmeng participated as an assistant on many of our organizing sessions with clients. Her behavior on the job was always appropriate. Going into clients’ homes and not being critical of their disorganization is difficult. I’ve had previous interns who could not handle the situation. But Xiangmeng related well to the clients and did what was necessary to complete the tasks.
