In this role I act as the personal assistant to a financial advisor in a family-owned firm. I am often the first point of contact for new clients, and the liaison between clients and their advisors, providing a familiar face and friendly communication while I gather information, fill paperwork, answer questions, and help with retirement services. • Lead Inventory Specialist
      • May 2015 - Apr 2023

I began this job as a standard Material Handler and proved my analytical abilities early on. As the department lead, I maintain constant inventory of hundreds of thousands of SKUs while overseeing a small team. My team helps to solve basic issues from mis-picks and batch errors to tech issues. I use my research skills to investigate larger issues, and am constantly using email, phone, and Skype/Teams to communicate with our sister companies. I am forklift certified on standing and sitting reach trucks as well as picker style lifts, and can use manual pallet jacks. We also manipulate the use of GUI guns with our SAP system. Because of my ability multi-task, my manager often asks me to spearhead new projects and find ways to improve business efficiency. This includes formatting my own reports and spreadsheets in MS Excel and Word. Because my job is enveloped around problem-solving, this job can be distinctly negative-- After almost 6 years, I've found myself burnt out and for that reason I'm looking for a job with more meaning and less negativity. This was my first job, as a regular customer service based retail employee. I climbed the ladder to management within my first three years. When not assisting customers, I performed quarterly inventory, stocked and straightened shelves, helped receive truckloads, and spent A LOT of time caring for the animals in my care-- this included everything from cleaning and feeding to enrichment and high quality healthcare. Learning was continuous for myself and my team, which I was expected to train; I frequently planned and scheduled my own tours for local youth groups (daycares, school children, etc), and was expected to upsell things like grooming and training classes to new pet parents. I left this job when the company sold and my position was eliminated. Show less
