Program Delivery Manager
-
Feb 2018 - Dec 2019
This position was as a subcontractor to AECOM Recovery. My position of Program Delivery Manager consists of an intensive array of responsibilities administering the Public Assistance Program for disaster recovery. It requires communication with internal and external government agencies. I manage the disaster recovery process for an assigned group of public entities, as I serve the needs of large-scale public infrastructure, not homeowners. This requires regular meetings, which oftentimes are multiple times per week with the same entity along with written correspondence and phone calls. Successful execution of these duties requires an astute understanding of building relationships in times of high stress for those I am serving as well as administration of policy and ensuring the government entities are complying with funding requirements so as to avoid forfeiture of funding. I meet with the stakeholders to determine their needs, at which time I evaluate compliance with federal policy and other regulations. This involves coordinating their records for personnel cost, procured materials and services, rightful ownership, maintenance records for depreciation of equipment, proper disposition of decommissioned equipment, and various contracts. I also participated on a special projects team. This team analyzes project submissions from architects and engineers for compliance with federal policy. This analysis includes site work and building construction. Basic building construction, mechanical, electrical, as well as specialized systems are reviewed. Formal reports are compiled to grant approval or rejection notices requiring redesign to achieve compliance for government funding. Designing program process tools to facilitate team success was one of my major responsibilities. Show less
