      Air Berlin is the second large airline in Germany. With about 8000 employees and a fleet of 140 Aircraft, AirBerlin serves a European and Intercontinental network. As Regional Manager Line Maintenance for AirBerlin I am responsible for Line Maintenance activity in the western region with up to 260 employees at several Line Stations. Düsseldorf is the biggest Maintenance Station of Air Berlin and the competence center for Airbus 330 and 320 as well as Bombardier Q400. Beside maintaining all other AC Types of AirBerlin and the various AC Types of our customers including Airbus A380, Boeing 777 and 787. Line Maintenance in Düsseldorf includes extended hangar downtimes for phase in/out, modification, big repairs up to several hundred man-hours Other Stations which were FMO 2 AC hangar capability closed in 11.2013, PAD 2 AC hangar capability reduced to a small Line Station in 04.2013 and finally closed in 12.2015. CGN Line Station closed in 12.2015, FRA Line Station and PUJ in the Dominican Republic I am responsible for maintaining the aircraft of AirBerlin and other customer with the top focus on safety, on time completion in a high quality standard and in the most efficient way. Development and training of the entrusted personal to motivate them to work on the targets and share the visions is one of my biggest concerns.
