Working in the Sociology Department at Winthrop University provided me with the opportunity to converse with the now successful professors who were once in my shoes as a student. I had ample opportunities to join in on the stimulating topics that buzzed around the office and got a chance to work on several projects. I helped promote new classes and I also gave input on what the new text book should be for on of the popular courses in the department.
