  A media company publishing stories to advance wonder about the world's hidden places, natural history, phenomenal science, and gastronomical curiosities. As Visuals Editor, I elevate and direct photography, illustration, video, and design for online editorial content and projects through commissioning and sourcing images. I collaborate closely with the Editor in Chief and editors to address their visual needs in a fast-paced environment and within budget. I also manage a regular team of freelancing photo researchers, illustrator, and graphic designers. Selected accomplishments include: • Expanded the brand's creative expression for an online story series on unusual labs by experimenting with article templates while art directing the photography, video, text, and design. • Increased the diversifying of photographers network by volunteering to review applicants and portfolios of Diversify Photo members. • Improved collaborations between story editors and social media team by co-leading a task force to address gaps of communication and knowledge among colleagues. • Drives growth and engagement of audience by creating a series of photo contests. • Manages a remote team of five freelance photo researchers, illustrator, and graphic designers.
