HongKong Land (www.hkland.com) was a listed company in Hong Kong focusing in residential and commercial real estate development. One of the cool projects was the interior design of a then upscale Chinese restaurant namely Hunan Garden (洞庭樓) located inside the just completed Exchange Square building in Hong Kong. The premises was on 3rd floor having an un-obstructed view to Victoria Harbour. Live traditional Chinese instrumental musicians played erhus and guquins during dinner hours. My role was to draft and create construction drawings. Design theme was lotus flowers which symbolize purity and clarity of thoughts in Buddhism. I incorporated the lotus theme onto glass screens, columns and carpet to complete the overall design ideas. I re-painted the attached drawing of lotus using an iPad app called "Paper"
