Brompton factory is the biggest bicycle manufacturer in England. 50 thousands bicycles were produced last year and we aim to increase 30% in the next couple of years. To cope with this rapid growth, a robust quality control system is essential. Despite the fact that only bicycles are produced here, we adopt some QC methodologies and approaches that are commonly used in automotive industry. The reults of rigorously practicing APQP, PPAP and QRQC allow us to stay ahead of quality issues instead of being reactive to problems. We are also keen to instill this mindset to our tier one suppliers.
