Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences is a unit of Nitte Education Trust (Regd.) which produces about 150 professional nurses every year who are trained in the 715 bedded parent hospital- Justice K.S. Hegde Charitable Hospital, Deralakatte. Job Description: To be responsible for completing the curriculums of the students and handling all type of teaching works in accordance with the role. Roles & Responsibilities • Participated in planning curriculum and course outline. • Demonstrated and teaches patient care in classroom to nursing students. • Supervised student nurses and demonstrates patient care in clinical units of hospital. • Lectured students, conducted and supervised laboratory work, issued assignments, and directed seminars. • Prepared and administered examinations, evaluated student progress, and maintained records of student classroom and clinical experience. • Cooperated with medical and nursing personnel in evaluating and improving teaching and nursing practices. • Maintained flexibility when managing multiple roles and responsibilities. • Lead committees, work groups and/or projects related to the implementation of educational activities. • Maintained audit/inventory of skill lab equipment & supplies. • Maintained professional & effective relationship /communication with health facility manager and staff. • Provided counseling and advice to students as required. • Attended training, seminars and workshops. • Maintained academic standards as established by the department, college and university.
