I joined the John Olson Advanced Manufacturing Center (JOAMC) at a time of great growth in the organization. With many new projects flowing in, my job as an intern is to join many projects and learn as much as possible. I worked in many teams on a variety of projects within materials and manufacturing engineering. I also worked in research and design on a variety of projects, which grew my experience with different machines and processes. In my time at JOAMC I have completed projects and pushed many along in their lengthy research and prototyping phases. Working in teams has allowed me to develop communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills while also learning and teaching new skills with coworkers.

Over the course of my time with Student Painters I operated an exterior painting business out of my hometown. I provided 31 homeowners with quality service and experience, employed and inspired six local college students, while I presented local students with job opportunities, focusing on creating a positive work environment for employees. Further, I had to manage relationships with customers and employees through technology and in-person interaction in a professional manner. Overall, I sold over $105,000 in jobs and operated a clean business of over $80,000, profiting $13,000 with gleaming customer reports.
