Students are not obliged to make use of this additional service offered by the IIE, however it is to their advantage. I am designing PowerPoint presentations and activities based on the learning units and module outcomes that would guide and assist the students to get a better understanding of the content and how to approach the assessments that they will receive during the semester. The online tutoring is not only about the academic content but also as a supporting role encouraging and motivating students to achieve success and go further in life.

This module allows students to think critically and evaluate circumstances and identify possible challenges or opportunities that might exist in a particular department such as marketing, human resources or supply chain management. This is very exciting as the students are from different backgrounds and have various opportunities or challenges and guide them through the content of the textbook on how to identify these challenges and opportunities and finding ways through practical thinking supported by theory on solving it. This tutoring is quite fulfilling as it can be closely related to that of supervising a honours or masters student in a research topic. Show less
