Our group's practice focuses on representing entrepreneurs, investors and family offices in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financing and other significant business transactions. Over the years, I've also assisted public and private organizations in economic development and capital formation legislative initiatives and ballot campaigns. In addition to my law practice, I have been active in community projects focusing on economic development, education, housing and human rights. During Governor Napolitano's administration, I served as Co-Chair of the Governor's Council on Innovation and Technology and a director of the Arizona Economic Resource Organization. I currently serve on the board of Lambda Legal, the leading national organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and everyone living with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work. . Over the years, I have worked on a variety of legal and philanthropic projects to promote marriage equality and the civil rights of LGBT persons. I was a founder of the Arizona Human Rights Fund, now Equality Arizona, serving as a director and pro bono legal counsel of this LGBT civil rights organization for many years.
