As the Command Locksmith I was tasked with key issuance, combination lock changes on Simplex 1000 and 1000L Locksets, and the tracking of said keys and combinations. I taught myself the installation, maintenance, combination setting/resetting, and also figuring out lost combinations on the mentioned locks. As the Command Urinalysis Coordinator I had to maintain strict compliance with U.S. Navy Regulations as Sailors careers were in my hands. I was in charge of scheduling the random testing and making sure that the command was staying within the zero tolerance policy for the Navy.
