My position was essentially Creative Business Developer but I also designed the logo and brand strategy, working closely with a web developer on the website, developing the email newsletter and various social media profiles, etc. I carried out product photography and handled all the website listings, blog posts, etc. I dealt with all aspects of the sales process form face 2 face clients to Internet sales and social media outreach. I was the face of the business at many levels including the many International fairs the company attended. This was a very hands-on role and what I loved about it was that each day was different. I dealt with every aspect of the business and we developed many sales platforms including 1st Dibs, eBay, Etsy, Pamono, and Vinterior. The Vintage Hub is Ireland's largest importer of VIntage & Mid-century furniture and the business has grown exponentially year on year since its inception. This was a very exciting and creative position for me and I am happy to say that I continue to work with the business on a remote freelance basis. Show less

Then in 1995 on my return to Dublin, I opened in the creative quarter of the city on South Great Georges Street. Wild Child Originals was a huge part of my life for almost 20 years and during that time I ran every aspect of the business. We were the first business of our kind to have an online E-Commerce presence and this aspect of the business was to change my career trajectory for good, although I did not know this at the time. The store closed in 2011 due to personal circumstances and the ever-increasing burden of high street rents. While I do miss the daily banter of the retail environment I was very happy to move on and take the opportunity to return to education and to develop my career path to where I am today. Show less
