After three semesters as a contributer, I was asked and accepted to be the sports editor. In addition to writing approximately half of the articles in the sports section, as an editor I was responsible for accepting or declining article ideas, assigning responsibilities to those writing for the sports section, editing stories to AP standards and formatting the page for print. The pay was minimal, the days were long, the stress was undeniable and I had the time of my life. Show less
