The cloud team at Westcoast in Ireland and in the UK were great to work with. My role involved meeting with local SMBs and promoting Azure as a way of hosting their service or building their product. I loved seeing the passion they had for their businesses. Helping them through rapid business innovation workshops at Microsoft Ireland were some of my favourite days working. Here's the rub: As a middle-man, I had no control over the service I was promoting and I ran into several roadblocks with partners who were having issues using Azure to build. I wanted so much to impact their user experience beyond repeatedly handing them over to our technical specialists for a solution. Unfortunately, my passion was at a different point in the process than my role needed it to be. That is why I have now specialised in UX design. Show less

Early roles like this one can be quite formative. Working in a kitchen of a busy hotel restaurant was high pressure and hard work, and waiting the floor means keeping cool under that pressure. The customer's experience is paramount after all.
