I handle between 100 to 350 tickets per night which typically cost between $25 and $75 each depending on the show. During a shift I also double as a fire warden and have partial responsibility for ushering out the audience in the event of a fire.

  Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia My main responsibility at the Street Theatre is as a Lighting Technician where I install, focus, program, operate and pack down the lights for various shows that come through the venue. My job is to make the vision of the Director and Lighting Designer come to fruition. Aside from lighting I often help with set construction installation, movement and anything else that needs an extra pair of hands.

  Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Installation, operation and pack down of lighting, sound and staging systems for outdoor, indoor and corporate events ranging from music concerts to business conferences. Work included driving a company van or truck to location, setting up all gear, operating tech for the event, then packing up and driving the gear back to the warehouse. The whole process would generally span 1 or 2 days per event.



Child Players ACT

  Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Child Players is a theatre course that I participated in as a child then once I was too old to participate on stage I stayed on with them to help as their technical manager. I set up, programmed, and operated the lights and sound for multiple shows with them over the years. In my time there I also trained some of the other kids in the technical side of theatre and eventually one of them was able to take over for me so that I could move on with my career.
