Working with Visual C++ in a bespoke in-house engine. Working across several game titles both released and unannounced. I feel like I've found a home here with some fantastic coders, and I'm happy to be able to learn something new every day about how to improve my code and know that the result of that will help players be able to enjoy their games more. Titles to date include: Lego Worlds (Assisting with accessibility and bug fixing) Lego Worlds 2 (Continued work on accessibility and bugs) Lego The Sky Walker Saga (Force Based Mechanics - Quite literally Jedi Master)

Working at CloudSolutions has helped me develop a strong troubleshooting methodology to help resolve user queries and technical issues. This has facilitated the ability for fast turn-around on Customer Support tickets meaning that I'm able to help even more customers, and that said customers are able to perform data migrations with ease. Part of my support role has included extensive use of tools such as the in-house software: Cloudpages, as well as JIRA, Google Apps for Work, GCE Virtual Machines, Excel, and of course the CloudMigrator tool that actually handles the data migration. Working in this role has given me the ability to multi-task as shown in my ability to work on multiple migrations and support tickets at once, all in a timely fashion. I've also shown a great aptitude for communicating sometimes quite complex technological ideas by breaking them down into more easy to comprehend ideas for our less technical based clientele. I've also developed an ability to work in a testing environment in order to re-create, understand, and solve issues that have been brought forward by customers. This has lead to improvements in parts of the business such as updates to the large knowledge base that we employ.

Using my new found User Experience theoretical knowledge, I approached several local businesses near my village seeing who needed their website being re-designed. After finding a beauticians, and a period of time designing, this also lead to me developing the website as well. I believe this to be a display of my problem solving skills, and my entrepreneurial approach. Graduated with 2:1 August 2015 - Computer Science (BSc Hons) Throughout university I took part in 5 group projects from design work, to creating large complex pieces of software and also discussing the ethics of being a software developer. In this time I was the group leader twice which required high communication with all parties in order to make sure everyone’s work was of a high enough quality, in on time and complemented what the others had done. In that time I had to write many programs to solve varying problems that I had been given, all of which demanded problem-solving skills. During both my second and third year at University, I took on more modules in the autumn semester than the spring semester. This required a very high level of organisation during those 2 autumn semesters in order to complete all my modules coursework and half of a dissertation. Organisation was needed in general however those 2 semesters in particular required much more focus. During my third year of University, my dissertation involved a large amount of research spanning near 20 different books or academic papers, it required my ability to create software in a timely fashion so that I could then test a large number of participants. This was potentially the most challenging work I have done to date, along with the most interesting. The programming languages that I've used in my time at University involve the following: C, C++, C#, MYSQL, COQ, Java, Haskell, HTML, Unix, CSS, ARM, PHP

During my time at BrilliantlyEpic I showed commitment and dedication in producing regular content and developed time management skills due to varying shift patterns dependent on outside events (e.g. E3). My experience here put me in a team where a great deal of communication was required in order to not waste time – e.g. has anyone written about ‘X’. This had to be done quickly and efficiently in the case of leaks and news articles so that we would be the first website to write about it and therefore get the public interest and new members to our community. At BrilliantlyEpic the boom period of game releases toward the end of the year resulted in me being given the problem of organising who wanted to review which game so no two people did it. This was solved through a large excel document on google-drive where titles of games, platforms, release dates were put down and leaving a column for writers to under-take titles. I had to be able to communicate effectively with large numbers of people often from time-zones different than my own thus adding a slight extra challenge.
