Joining Sturgess group in July of 2015 has to be one of my proudest moments in my working career. During my current time at Sturgess group, I have progressed from entry level technician to 'Master technician status' following on from various achievements such as becoming Hybrid/EV level 4 qualified late 2017, and F-gas certified.

Whilst studying for my mechanical vehicle qualifications at college I felt as though I needed a guide as to what to expect from the automotive trade when qualified, I headed down to my local garage in Houghton 3 days a week fitting the time around working at McDonald's and Study. My other job paid for my tools which were desperately required as my work experience remained an unpaid allowance of time. This job however was one of the most important roles I've had to date, understanding the running of a real smaller sized workshop and the deadlines that followed, this is where I learned the value of customer service, loyalty and swift service. Sadly my time was up in July of 2015 when I was offered a full time dealer based position at Sturgess Motor group!

The job role itself was to train members of the 'crew' from entry level to the highest of standards inline with company policy, not only following the guidelines but ensuring the customer service, friendliness and personal value was uphelp throughout the visit. I held down this role whilst studying full time at college, and fit my other job (work experience job) around the free hours I had. This inevitable had to come to a close in 2015 when my focus was shifted to my full time role as vehicle technician for Sturgess Motor Group.
