Work Experience Diagnostic Medical Sonographer June 2013 – Current Fairview Range Medical Center, Hibbing, MN Performed ultrasound imaging and assisted in ultrasound guided interventional procedures. Types of ultrasounds performed include: 1. Ultrasound of the abdomen and transvaginal/ transabdominal imaging of the female pelvis. 2. Ultrasound of the breast, testicles, thyroid. 3. Vascular ultrasound including, venous imaging of the upper and lower extremities, venous insufficiency of the legs, carotid artery and peripheral arterial scanning. Doppler imaging of the liver and doppler imaging of arterial grafts in the legs. 4. Obstetric ultrasound including, 1st trimester transabdominal and transvaginal techniques (CPT-76813, 76817). Standard complete Ob ultrasound studies and follow-up studies (CPT-76805, 76816). 5. Performs detailed fetal anatomical surveys (CPT-76811) and targeted ultrasound studies supervised by a MFM perinatologist. 6. Performed 1st trimester screens of the nuchal translucency and nasal bone. 7. Biophysical profiles and any other necessary follow up studies. 8. Experience using 4D ultrasound. 9. Ultrasound of the appendix, neonatal spine, neonatal hips and pediatric pylorus. 10. Experience in assisting the surgeons with radiofrequency venous ablations in the OR. Also with other miscellaneous ultrasound guided procedures in the OR. Performed ultrasound techniques during interventional procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, PICC-line placements, and breast and thyroid biopsies within the imaging department.
